COVID-19 TASK FORCE CIRCULAR LETTER NO. 7 OF 2020 CONCERNING TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF PEOPLE TRAVELING DURING ADAPTATION PERIOD OF NEW NORMAL FOR PRODUCTIVE AND SAFE SOCIETY FROM CORONA VIRUS (COVID-19)

Indonesian COVID-19 Task Force on 6 June 2020 issued further guidance on health procedure for traveling within Indonesia and arrival from overseas.

Traveling means movement of people from one area to the another area of province/regency/city administrative boundaries, and arrival of people from overseas entering Indonesia using private transportation or land, train, water and air public transportation.

Traveler must follow health protocol by using face mask, practicing social distancing and washing hand regularly.

The requirements of anyone travels within Indonesia:

1. Traveler using private transportation shall be responsible for his/her own health and comply with applicable terms and condition e.g. in Jakarta during Large-scale Social Restrictions (Pembatasan Sosial Berskala Besar/ PSBB) capacity of private car shall be only for two persons each row except for one family with the same address as per ID Card;
2. Traveler using land, train, water and air public transportation shall:
   1. Show identification Card i.e KTP or other valid identification;
   2. Show PCR test result indicating negative that valid within 7 days or rapid test result indicating negative that valid within 3 days from departure date;
   3. Show letter of statement of free of influenza-like illness issued by hospital doctor for area without PCR test and/or rapid test facility;
3. Traveler traveling within the agglomeration area/zone is excluded from requirements set out in point b above; and
4. Download and activate Peduli Lindungi application in mobile phone.

The requirements of traveler arrive from overseas:

1. Traveler from overseas shall do PCR test at arrival, if he/she is not able to show PCR test with negative result from country of departure conducted within 7 days of arrival date;
2. PCR test can be waived if the traveler comes from overseas through cross country post (Pos Lintas Batas Negara/ “PLBN”) and that area does not have PCR test. However he or she shalldo rapid test and shows letter of statement of free of influenza-like illness; exception also applied for people commuting trough PLBN but he/she shall be equipped with letter of statement of free of influenza-like illness issued by hospital doctor/health authority;
3. While waiting of PCR test result, traveler shall be quarantined in accommodation (hotel/lodging) approved by Ministry of Health for quarantine;
